What are the elements of turning and milling machining conditions for CNC machining of precision parts

For the cutting of metal materials processed by high-efficiency CNC lathes, the raw materials, special tools and cutting conditions are the three major factors. This decision determines machining time, tool life and machining quality. In order to develop an economical and reasonable machining method, the cutting conditions must be selected reasonably.

Reasonable choice of cutting amount of CNC lathe

The three elements of cutting conditions in CNC lathe machining: cutting speed, feed and depth of cut will immediately cause damage to the tool. As the cutting speed increases, the temperature of the sharp knife will increase, causing mechanical equipment, organic chemical and thermal wear. The cutting speed is increased by 20%, and the tool life will be reduced by 1/2 in CNC machining, turning and milling.

The relationship between the feed conditions and the wear behind the tool is caused on a small scale. However, when the feed rate is large, the cutting temperature increases and the rear wear is large. It does less damage to the tool than the cutting speed. The harm of the cutting depth to the tool is not as great as the cutting speed and feed rate, but when the fine cutting depth is cut, the cut raw material will cause a hard bottom layer, and the machining of CNC spare parts will also endanger the service life of the tool .

Customers should choose the cutting speed for application according to the raw materials processed, strength, cutting situation, raw material type, feeding speed, cutting depth, etc.

The selection of suitable machining conditions is based on the basic selection of these elements. Having a standard and stable wear is the ideal condition for reaching the service life

As we all know, in specific work, the choice of tool life is related to tool wear, changes in machining specifications, process performance, cutting noise, and machining heat. When determining machining conditions, research must be done on a case-by-case basis. CNC machining, turning and milling machining For difficult-to-machine raw materials such as stainless steel plates and heat-resistant alloys, coolants or cutting edges with good hardness can be selected.
